The Market Italian Village Opening This Summer

The eastern corner of Summit Street and Third Avenue has been under construction for some time. Formerly a convenience pit stop for beer, cigarettes, and snacks, a new 3,500 square feet market is set to open at 1022 Summit Street at the end of July or beginning of August.
The Market Italian Village is the latest project from Ali Alshahal and his A&R Development Group, who also own four other restaurants in the campus/Clintonville corridor: Café del Mondo, Fourth Street Bar & Grill, The Crest Gastropub, and Ethyl & Tank.

Although these rules aren’t law, they serve as a guide for how to properly display the flag.

 Here are some general guidelines:

Sidewalk sculpture set for Short North

Designed by Mark Lagergren of the South Side design firm Tork — also the creator of the planters — the vivid sculptures will reflect colored light upon the sidewalk, adding “light and intrigue to the streets,” said Betsy Pandora, executive director of the nonprofit Short North Alliance, which serves the district’s residents, businesses and property owners.

How to get killed on a bike

Over on VOX, Joseph Stromberg rolls out another post on cycling, based on a new report from the League of American Bicyclists.
